One World Everybody Eats and its network of independent nonprofit Community Cafés® will celebrate the Eighth Annual National Everybody Eats Week, August 23-29, 2026.
National Everybody Eats Week is a nationwide campaign that highlights the power of food to build community, increase food access, and ensure that everybody eats. Through the pay-what-you-can community café model, people from all walks of life come together to share a meal, support one another, and strengthen their communities.
For two decades, One World Everybody Eats Community Cafés have been strengthening communities by increasing food access while creating welcoming spaces where people can connect with one another. Today, the challenges facing our communities extend beyond hunger alone. Across the country, people are seeking opportunities for meaningful connection, belonging, and engagement. Community cafés provide places where neighbors can gather, build relationships, contribute their talents, and support one another through the simple act of sharing a meal.
Every One World Everybody Eats Community Café is unique, reflecting the character and needs of the community it serves. Yet all share a commitment to a dignified dining experience where everyone is welcome, guests choose from fresh and nutritious menu options, and individuals contribute according to their ability through volunteer service or donations.
This year's National Everybody Eats Week also coincides with a growing international movement to expand food access through hospitality. On August 26, 2026, the inaugural global Pay What You Can Day of Action, convened by Food & Wine and inspired by the pioneering work of Masala y Maíz in Mexico City, will unite more than 100 restaurants across 14 countries in demonstrating the power of inclusive hospitality and community-driven food access.
Community cafés and participating restaurants around the world are showing that food can be a powerful tool for creating stronger, healthier, and more connected communities.
Throughout National Everybody Eats Week, we invite everyone to E.A.T.:
Dine at a community café or donate online to support the work we do.
Get involved with your local café, sign up to volunteer and become part of the solution.
Join the movement to ensure everybody eats starting with your community.
